Assignments

Summer Assignment

Unit 5 Assignments (updated)

Designing a study is more complicated than you think!  :)  Be sure to master the vocab and to use your guided notes.

Unit 5 Study Guide/Review

"Control what you can; block what you can't; randomize the rest!"

Unit 1 Assignments

Analyzing univariate data is the focus.  Be sure to understand which types of graphs are appropriate for different types of variables.

Unit 2 Assignments

Describing a location in a distribution.  Big focus on Normal v. non-Normal distributions

Unit 3 Assignments

Bivariate data analysis!

Unit 4 Assignments

Linearizing data is a matter or LOGs!  :)  Don't forget to do your FRAPPYs on the weekend!

Unit 6 Assignments

The probability that you will learn probability in this unit is 100%.  Simulations will help us model situations that are too difficult to observe in "real life."

Units 7 and 8 Assignments

Here we study types of distribution functions, probability distribution functions that are discrete or continuous, binomial or geometric.

Fall Semester Review

Start reviewing for the final as soon as possible!  Continue to work on FRAPPYs over the holidays.  :)

Fall Semester Review KEY

Spring Syllabus

Happy New Year!!  I hope you had a great break and are ready for more statistics.  :)

Unit 9 Assignments

Sampling distributions are the central concept here that will set the stage for the rest of the semester.

Unit 9 Review KEY

Unit 10 Assignments

Have confidence in your intervals!!  Use a confidence interval to esimate mu.

Unit 11 Assignments

New inference procedure--hypothesis testing!  If you master Unit 10 and 11, the rest will be a breeeze!!
Don't forget to do your FRAPPYs every weekend and on quiz and test days.

Unit 12 Assignments

More hypothesis tests!!  Don't forget the FRAPPYs and the online quizzes.  The textbook website link is at the top of this page.

WARNING: YOU MUST BE PASSING AP STAT ON APRIL 9 IN ORDER FOR THE COUNTY TO PAY YOUR TEST FEE.  IF YOU ARE NOT PASSING, YOU MAY OPT NOT TO TAKE THE TEST AND PAY THE $13 FEE TO SEND THE TEST BACK TO THE COLLEGE BOARD.

Start reviewing now!!!

Unit 13 Assignments

This unit is all two sample inference procedures.  Don't forget to do your FRAPPYs and practice MC quizzes on the text book website.
We are almost finished learning all the new content!! The AP exam is just around the corner!!!!!!

Practice AP Exam
We will take a full length AP exam on Thursday, April 26 from 4:00 to 7:30 in the cafeteria.*
~  This practice exam counts as your final exam for the course and every student must take the test
~  Be on time, bring #2 pencils and your calculator, and do not bring food.
~  The exam will be given in the same manner as the real exam, in two parts with a short break between multiple choice and free response sections.
~  The exam will be graded on the AP scale, so you will receive a score of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 based on your scaled raw score (out of 100).

*If you have a conflict with another event (lacrosse or baseball game or chorus concert), you must see me ahead of time to make arrangements to take the test.  For any other activity, it is your responsibility to let your coach or sponsor know AHEAD OF TIME that you will miss practice or the activity on that day.

Units 14 and 15 Assignments

We're almost done!!!  These last two units are about inference for categorical variables and regression.  After we learn these concepts, we will focus on reviewing all content and test taking strategies.

AP STATISTICS REVIEW WORKSHOP

If you are interested in attending a one-day workshop in preparation for the exam, check out
www.edventure-ga.com/review.  This workshop, hosted by Woodward Academy, is a comprehensive review of the content included on the exam along with test strategies--lots of ideas to help you do your best on the exam!  Please let me know if you decide to go; some other students may want to carpool.
